About The Tracking Modes
Test your absolute mouse precision with four unique tracking modes. Whether you are an FPS gamer trying to perfect your tracking aim, or just want to test how steady your grip is, these modes will measure exactly how accurate your mouse movements are.
Path Follow
In Path Follow mode, you must guide your cursor perfectly through a winding path without touching the boundaries. Click the green start node to begin, and carefully trace the path to the red finish node. This tests your ability to make smooth, controlled movements. If your cursor leaves the designated tracking area, you will instantly fail the test.
Shape Trace
Shape Trace is a freehand drawing test. You will be presented with a faint outline of a geometric shape (like a star or circle). Click the green node to start tracing, and move your mouse freely to draw a line over the template. Once you reach the red node, the test ends and mathematically calculates the exact average pixel error between your drawn line and the perfect shape, giving you an overall accuracy percentage.
Steady Hand
The Steady Hand mode is the ultimate test of your grip. You must drag your cursor through a very tight, narrow corridor. Any jitter or micro-stutter in your mouse movement will cause you to hit the boundary and fail. Use this mode to practice keeping your hand perfectly still while making slow, deliberate drags across your mousepad.
Precision
Precision mode tests your ability to click on microscopic targets. Tiny shapes will spawn randomly on the canvas. Your goal is to click exactly inside the target. Missing the target will result in a failure. The closer you click to the absolute dead-center of the target, the higher your score will be. You must successfully hit 10 targets in a row to complete the test.
Mouse Accuracy Test
Welcome to the Mouse Accuracy Test, a specialized diagnostic tool designed to measure your absolute cursor precision. Unlike standard aim trainers that only register whether a target was hit or missed, our tool calculates the exact pixel distance between your click and the target's absolute center. This metric, known as Pixel Error, provides a granular look at your micro-adjustment capabilities and overall mouse control.
In competitive gaming, graphic design, and 3D modeling, true precision isn't just about speed—it's about accuracy. When you're trying to click a 2-pixel wide vertex or land a critical headshot, being slightly off-center can result in a miss. By tracking your Average Pixel Error, you can identify inconsistencies in your grip style, sensor tracking, or sensitivity settings.
The test offers customizable parameters to match your training needs. You can adjust the target size (Small, Medium, Large, or Random) and the difficulty (how quickly targets disappear). A smaller target size forces higher precision, while a harder difficulty forces faster reaction times. We recommend starting with Medium targets on Normal difficulty and slowly increasing the challenge as your muscle memory improves.
To achieve pixel-perfect accuracy, it is crucial to disable any form of software mouse acceleration. Operating systems often apply a non-linear curve to your mouse movement, causing the cursor to move further when you flick the mouse quickly. This destroys the 1:1 relationship between your physical hand movement and the cursor, making it physiologically impossible to develop consistent muscle memory for high-precision tasks.
